Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

Well as you all know Musashi got his GTO, and me, I just had to have it for a night.

First impression:
I'm sorry people but I'm not fond of the "I look like every other pontiac but with a bigger engine" thing. I mean just take off the ram air hood and what do you have? An over sized G6. The color was nice though, I loved the blue. I was iffy at first about the whole blue on blue thing but it does look nice. Once inside it had pretty much the same vision area as the Grand Prix bringing back the whole "I look like every other pontiac" But shit, it sure doesnt act like one.

The drive:
If musashi felt like a god, I felt more like a titan who overthrew the gods, till they imprisoned me out of fear, and I think that is exactly what they are doing with the car by discontinuing them. After having the car for only about 10 minutes I was already heel and toeing my way through corners, making me forget that the car is actually a boat. This car only feels like a muscle car on a straight line, but on a curve it handles like a sports car. I took it on a small roundabout by my office and suprisingly it gave me no trouble going around and around and around. Though I didnt take the car above 4000 rpms, I didnt need to, 4000 was enough to plant me into the seat as I stepped on the gas, not to mention I only weigh 115.

The verdict:
Muscle that feels like a sports car. Alot of power without the fear of not making the next corner. I like it, its alot of power and comfort for only 32,000. I'm gonna have to borrow the car alot more untill I get whatever I'm gonna get.

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

Wow, I didn't think they handled well to boot. They seem plenty quick for being stock.

Dude it looks like a big ass G6, not saying I dont like it, but it shouldve had more individuality to it

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

First things first I have been lurking for sometime and have read some really ridiculous stuff but this is just plain ridiculous! I have to agree that the GTO looks plain but maybe its because Pontiac didnt want to change what it really is a Holden! Then you say the car lacks individuality but yet from your sig you drive a Jetta WTF!?

Then you say that after a mere 10mins. in someone else's car that you've never driven before you're already feeling muscle car power and heel and toeing around corners but then contradict yourself by saying you never took it past 4000 RPM! If you never took it past 4K how were you heeling and toeing let alone feeling all the muscle car power;then again you're driving a Jetta so I guess anything would feel faster!

My Verdict:
The GTO is an awesome car with great potential but you sure as hell dont know what you're talking about and if I were this Musashi guy i wouldn't let you any where near my car ever again!

And for your information the GTO is not being discontinued because its some caged and or feared TITAN. http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=3289

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

gotian Why would you say that the GTO looks like a G-6? if im not mistaken the GTO came out before the G-6 so the G-6 Looks like the GTO. And why are you Ragging on Musashi's Car if its Brand new? even he's trying to baby it until the 1st 1000 miles!

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

well i'm sure musashi was sitting shotgun with him so if gotian is still alive, that means musashi didn't kill for what he did... which also means musashi was cool with it. i'm sure its not a brand spanking new model, its probrably a slightly used ls2 model.

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

No no, I got it brand new. I was sitting shotgun and I dont mind that Gotian meshes it a bit. Him and Drifty are like brothers to me so I dont mind at all as long as we dont get too crazy.

Now GM puts all thier motors on a dyno prior to installing them. Mostly its for quality control but it also helps to break them in.
For the first 200 miles I like to open it up and get it breathing right. Get all the metals to expand and stuff. after that I go easy till 1000 miles. its what has worked for me in the past so i stick to what I know.

Gotian was revin it up and accellerating at WOT but he did try to keep it at around 4000rpms, which is pleanty high enought to get a good 280-300 ft lbs of torque out of the motor.

as far as personal likes I respect his opinion about the looks but I dont mind cause I hate retro-styling so to me the GTO is king as long as it dosent look like it was built in 68!

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

preach on! i'd rather a bland car, then a car that is clearly a copy cat of its original former self.

Re: Gotian Test Drives Musashi's GTO

People I did say I like the car. And I was giving my honest opinion, and clemenza, umm.. how can i say this in a poilte way? FUCK OFF! You fucking crossed a line, why the fuck did you have to bring my car into this? this is a review about the gto not how plain my car looks. I know my car look like every other fucking sedan out there and i hate it. Shit i hate my car probably more than anyone else on this forum. I got that car cause I had to since I dont have the luxiory of my parents co-signing for me or just plain out buying me the car and not to mention I dont have 12-15k to put down so I can buy whatever car i feel like. No, instead I had to settle for the plainest looking car out there, it even looks like a corolla and I hate corollas! So as I said before FUCK OFF, I hate my car but I'm fucking proud that i was able to buy it with my own money and my own fucking will to get a car even though I had no money to put down, unlike probably 90% of the people on this site.

And how am I contradicting myself by never taking it passed 4000? There is plenty of power before there and Drifty I'm your buddy and everything but I was not ragging on his car, I didnt cook the clutch, I didnt burn through the gears, and I didnt do anything Musashi didnt want me to do.
