Ron Shearer's new gt42r manifold

Thought I would show off some of these pictures. I'm not sure how much it costs.. I'm sure together with the $1900 GT42R it is more then I payed for my car. Eat it up guys..

This is the same turbo John Shepherd's hit his 7.9 1/4 mile.

Dear fucking GOD that thing is huge. All I can do is laugh. I wonder when that bastard spools, like around 9k?

What is Brent Rau running? I like the fucking 6" compressor inlet. My friends have this term for turbos like this... baby shredders.

I'm going to say both, and a 10k rpm redline My "little" T67 still took to 5000 rpm on a stroker, a 42r is way bigger, especially in the turbine side by the looks of that monster.

a local down here (nanokpsi from the dsmlink forums) runs that T67. It sounds like a damn airplaine at idle. You actually hear the damn turbine spinning...crazy
He's running it on a stock internal 2.0 motor and no nitrous though..

Re: Ron Shearer's new gt42r manifold

I have a T70 on my car and its not that bad... Spool up by about 5500 at the latest on my built 2.0L. My buddy has a 42R on his 2.4L 2g GSX and he gets full spool by around 6k. Our turbo's are the same size (compressor wheel dimension) but it has a slightly larger turbine wheel. That and the housings are massive!

trailer ponny's or daily driven? I just wouldn't see the fun of having your friends gsx on the street, but defenitly on the track! I would one day love to just feel what that is like off the line! fuck

Re: Ron Shearer's new gt42r manifold

His is trailered to the track. He has driven in on the street, its licensed and all so he can take it anywhere whenever he needs it. Mine is daily driven now that it is done. Its really not that bad of lag, you get used to it. Just learn to shift later if you want to boost any. Launching is fun... Studder box on DSMLink is sweet, anti-lag along with it is even cooler when you launch but anti-lag sucks in the upper RPMs. Kills power seeing it retards timing so I dont use it at all.
