Angry Need Advice On 01 Mc Ss!

My 01 monte carlo ss is having problems starting, it has power, lights come on radio works, but does nothing. it doesnt do it every time either, does anyone know what the problem is, if so, please let me know asap thanx alot, Ross

It could be your ignition has gone bad.

Check for power at the "s" terminal on the starter solenoid when the key is in the start position with a 12v test light. IF the light comes on, the starter and/or solenoid are bad. If it doesn't come on, the ignition or neutral safety switch are bad. If it does it more often after the engine is warmed up, that indicates a bad starter that is shorting out when it heats up.
