Exclamation Coil Overs

I want to lower my car and I was thinkging about getting ground control or skunk 2 coil overs. if I get ground control ther is a package deal so that that I can get strunts at the same time.

so I;m wondering want everybody else has and should I get gound control or skunk 2

I have heard that ground control are better and it might be true because they are more expensive than skunk 2 coilovers. I am also going to get mine pretty soon ground control.

hey where are you getting a good deal on the ground control coilovers.

Im getting ground controls....they are easy to use because they only use one wrench while others use two.....ask CZ-R.....he has some Skunk 2's.....well he's got skunkworks....but they are the same thing.

ground control said that it woul be like 399 for the coil and about 400 for the strunts but I might go though my car club and get some type of discount

I do have the Skunkworks/Skunk2 coil-overs on my hatch & I love 'em.

As for Ground Control... Honestly, I've never heard anything positive about them. The GC's use one wrench, as slammedcivicsi said, however, they also use a little 'set screw' to hold the ring to the collar. Just about everyone I've known to use GC's has had the 'set screw' strip out. Then what are you supposed to do to keep that ring set at the height you want if the screw strips out?

The Skunk2's use 2 rings that lock together (hence the need for two wrenches). The collars get really, really dirty. After 3+ years of driving in every road condition you can think of (good ol' ND), I have NEVER had a problem with my rings seizing up or cross threading.

My advice is to get the Skunk2's. You won't be disappointed.

tell me what the difference is between a set of 399 coilovers and a set of generics that are less than a 100 for the whole set... now i know the more expensive ones probably have a little bit bigger coils so they are a little bit better, but seriously, are you just paying for a name? they all lower and raise the car

Thumbs up

skunk2 all the way!
I just got skunk2 coilovers today and I love them! Nice ride and not too stiff. The only bad thing is that my hatch is lowered 1.5 inches only
Wanna drop it more, but I don't want any more cops looking at my hatch....
