i need help changing front disc brakes on a 1988 GV
i can not remove brake pads when the caliper is unbolted from the car - how do they come out???? ![]() thanx for any thoughts |

Evening, Reverend:
My Chilton Manual for 1984-1994 Caravan/Voyager states the following after removing the caliper from the disc: Pry the outboard pad toward the bottom opened end of the caliper. The pad is retained by a captured clip. Remove the pad. (The illistration shows a screwdriver inserted between the bottom of the horseshoe shaped opening on the end of the caliper and the top of the pad.) Remove the inboard pad by pulling it outward from the caliper piston. It is retained by a captive clip. (The illistration shows hands pulling the pad away from the piston, toward the opposite end of the caliper.) I hope this helps. Let us know what you do and what you find.

the calliper guide pin is the obsticle - rounded flats will make removal more difficult but NOT impossible ![]() thanx again <david>< |
