Re: homemade turbo

buy one of thoes "superchargers" or "turbos" off ebay, they are fans that run off the battery and go on the intake pipe.

Lightbulb Re: homemade turbo

cmon, what would be wrong with that idea? i have thought about the electric turbo before and it doesnt sound hard to make. it may not give very much psi from a really cheap vacuum cleaner, but if you have an orek dont they say on the commercials that it sucks @ like 20psi?? if that IS the case and the fat man isnt lying then it would be a killer performance upgrade. actually i highly doubt it would make that much psi but if you can produce anything over 4 psi it would definitely change over some hp. iv seen the ones online and im curious as to if anyone has ever tried them and if so what happened? i dont know anybody that would try it. they all think im crazy too.. try it out, you never know. they may stop laughing when your hitting 180hp from an old vacuum cleaner and some duct tape... and a ac/dc converter and appropriate wiring, and a variable switch connected to the throttle cable. see, thats why i havent tried it yet. i dont have the patience. l8r

Re: homemade turbo

it isnt just putting air in, they have compressors that compress the air to fit more, if it was just blowing air, running a tube to the tb and doing 100mph would create quit a bit of boost i would imagine
