Help with soft top on tracker
I just bought a 98 Chevy Tracker and the white top needs severe cleaning. Also the velcro needs to be fixed so it closes and the zippers need some kind of lubrication so they work better. The main problem is the plastic windows. They are so yellow they are almost opaque. Is there something to clean these and get them working again? I looked at replacement tops but they want like 600 bucks plus for one. Any help will be appreciated..thanks..

Re: Help with soft top on tracker
Dealerships sell plastic window cleaner, however I found to get rid of stains in vinyl windows and yellowed headlights, use an old rag, dishsoap and the secret ingredient: Vinegar, lots and lots of vinegar. Use your discretion and be prepared to scrub. Plus: For your old zippers use some vaseline. Hope this helps.
If not, it might be better to track down a hard top. I found it's a lot less hassle. |
