Angry Sick of it!

ok, so heres the deal, I'm set @ 15psi, but at about 4500-5K boost starts to drop off, it drops as low as 10psi and i'm sick and tried of it! i'm short on cash (dont have a job) and was wondering if there was a way to fix it for fairly cheap... I did some searches, and i know this is a common problem on the T25, and all internal wastegated turbos for that matter... any input? thanks guys!

Re: Sick of it!

100% no doubt about it it's because of your fmic

You actually made yourself slower. The T25 can't flow enough air up top to keep that bigass fmic full and feed the intake manifold. Put the stocker back on there for now until you upgrade to a turbo that actually needs the fmic. I'm not trying to sound like a jackass, but you should read the dsmtuners.com tuning guide. Notice where a fmic is on that list. No matter how "cool" it makes your ride look, it actually made it much slower. Where are your priorities for this project?

Re: Sick of it!

alright, well i was wonding if there was like a wastegate hack or something, but that makes sence... thanks, i'm not going to put to stock sidemout back on because of all the trimming doen to the front bumper, the car would look like shit. I'll just have to live with it untill i get the money for my turbo setup... thanks

Re: Sick of it!

I'm not trying to rub it in, but to even make any boost your turbo is working much harder than it can. It's pretty much trying to keep double the area pressurized. Even running at 10 psi is cause more stress than it normally does at 15psi. If I were you, I'd put the stocker smic back in, unless you're upgrading turbos soon.

Re: Sick of it!

I'm seriously with crunchy on this one... Its the reason we didn't put my FMIC on when I had my car apart this last time. Because theres so many little things I need still before upgrading my turbo. I had the stock SMIC on it until the damn thing CW'd on me.
