I don't know what this light is.

A light came on in my car yesterday, it's red and it's like a box with a spout on top. Inside is an arrow pointing down toward some fluid. I put antifreeze and powersteering fluid in but the light is still on. Can someone tell me what this light means?

No, I think the low coolant sensor is screwed up.

if its what im thinking of its your low coolant light, ill look at mine and see exactly what it looks like to make sure, if thats what it is, mine comes on AT LEAST once a day, everytime im on a hill or make a turn fast, it comes on and stays on for hours at a time

yep i looked at my car, that sounds exactly like the low coolant light, just check your fluid, make sure its full, and if it is i would just ignore that light, just keep an eye on the temperature guage, like i said, that light comes on constantly in my car and ive never had any problems

Re: I don't know what this light is.

Same problem here. My switch sticks sometimes. The switch is in the bottom front of the plastic coolant reservoir. I cleaned the tank out once and the switch started working, but it only lasted a couple of weeks before it stuck again. I just keep an eye on the temp gage now and ignore the light.

Re: I don't know what this light is.

My coolant light hasn't bothered me yet, it must just be a faulty sensor or something. Just keep ur eye on the coolant level once and awhile and it should be fine.
