4l60e shift solenoid

I have a problem with my tranny. I have a 95 that has no 1st or O/D and all indications seems to be the shift solenoid. I have tried searching on how to test it but nothing seem to paint a clear picture on how to test it. Could somebody possible help me. I have codes 758,753 which are open circuits for shift solenoid A&B, and also code 1864 transfer case contact plate power open circuit/short to ground. Another possible cause is a bad ignition switch which seems to cause weird codes but would to cause you to loose 1st and O/D? Thank you for any information that you could give me.

Thanks Again

Chris

Re: 4l60e shift solenoid

I show thes codes for a 96.
Does it have a pcm or vcm. VCM is the computer under the water tank on fender.
The code all together at one time points to power feed to transmission start with the fuse and wiring and 12 volt power to transmission.
I come up with the code 1864 is a transmission tcc circuit code.
This info and all info on it and all wiring and code test can be found in the All Data DIY online repair info sub. 24.95$ us a year but will save you a lot more than that on one repair.
