EG civic coupe, convert auto to manual?

WIll a normal eg civic hatch, sir, or sedan gearbox fit a eg civic coupe american styles? I am seriously looking at one, and all are in auto, bar one. So I am looking at the option on a manual conversion. Also does it need a cpu change?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its possible, but why?

If you give the thing some real power at the sametime then I guess it would be worth it. i.e. a B18c.
Otherwise save the money for making it look good, becasue with the D16 in there it will never go good.

The swap however would require a new g/box mount, the shift linkages, the center consol and the gear stick and related mechanism under the car.
As well as master cylinder, pedal with pedal box, and of course piping.

Any manual box from an D series powered EG or EK civic will work.
(or go all out and swap a B18c with manual box in there)

The parts, for just a box swap could cost maybe $1000.
And then maybe 2 days labour at a mechanic to do the work.

But personaly I think you should:

Throw the old D series in the trash.
Insert a B18c worked or not. thats up to you.
Throw away the old brakes, shocks and springs.
Insert 4wheel discs from an integra, and coil overs of your choice.
Throw away old wheels.
Insert some nice 17s.
Throw away frount bumber, side skirts and rear bumber.
Instert sublte body kit of your choice. But NO rear wings allowed. You have to maintain the clean smoth look of the coupe shape.

Well there was the Si version in the states, but it was only made for one year, 99/00
They are VERY rare however, and are the only years a B16a was fitted to the coupe, all of which are made in the US. (some were apprently sold new in Aussi as well)

However since your getting a USDM coupe it comes with the USDM D16y SOHC VTEC, which unlike the JDM cars is a 1600 instead of the 1500.
It still only makes about the same 125hp though.

And from what Iv seen most of them seem to only have drums brakes at the back.
Thier not really a performance Honda, more a posers car. (read gay).
So if your prepared to spend the money doing an engine swap, as well as upgrading the brakes then sweet.

Otherwise I think I found the perfect car for you.

A B18c powered 2dr AWD Integra!!!!!! :ylsuper

WTF! did u say AWD?? Honda?

WHoa, tell me more!

I cant be arsed spending all that money just to make the coupe almost keep up with say ur car. Id rather spend all that coin on making it look better and go faster than a stocko eg, or ek civic.

tell me about this teg...
