'98 LTZ Showing Code P0336, What Does This Involve?
I have a '98 with the 3.8 and it is giving the crankshaft position sensor code (P0336). What problems might this be indicating? Anyone know of any fixes?
Thanks, Scott |

Poor or interupted signal from the cps, this can be caused by the sensor itself, the connector and/or wiring to the icm and pcm.

Re: '98 LTZ Showing Code P0336, What Does This Involve?
It can and will cause stalling and missing as it gets worse. Could progress into a no-start situation if left unattended. The crank sensor is what the PCM uses to fire the spark plugs at the correct time, adjust timing advance, fuel delivery, etc...
