90 Seatbelts door ajar
My friend has a 90 tbird and the seat belts will not go back... the door ajar light is on and there is a constant beeping noise only when the headlights are on...it s very annoying cuz he got his radio stolen so that is all you hear lol...any clue what the problem is

the connector in the door could be messed up, saying the door is always open.

look in the door jam for a nob that goes in and out. Play with it, if it stops the door ajar stuff your good. If not it may need to be replaced or bypassed.

Yeah i fucked with the knob that goes in and out....the dome lieght and shit goes off door closed like it should....day or night....dont matter. ....so yeah any ideas...its reallllly annoying...

Is the door adjusted so that the latch is fully closed when the door is shut? Try moving the striker out more to be sure the latch is fully closing. The "Door Ajar" and "Door Latch" switches are located at the latch of the door. You are playing with the courtesy light switch which is located in the pillar on the hinge side of the door. You have to remove the door panel to get to the switches and wiring. Ask at your library for the Mitchell electrical manual for your year car to see how the circuits are wired. Also, in a '97 both of these switch circuits plug into one connector under the left side of the dash. If this connector isn't plugged together it would give your symptoms. I don't know if this is true in your year car. That's why you need a wiring diagram for it.
