97 blazer gets no power anywhere.
the truck is a 97 blazer with the 4.3l vortech. my buddy and i just finished replacing his old engine that was in the truck before because he spun a rod bearing. we got everything that needed to be hooked up just to make sure that its getting power. theres nothing. we checked the battery and its good. we just cant get any power from the battery into the system. as far as we know we hooked up all the grounds. if theres anything that you guys can help with it would be greatly appreciated because i really dont feel like taking it down to the dealer.

Re: 97 blazer gets no power anywhere.
Remember simplist things first. Check you positive fused link, it is in the battery cable itself.

Re: 97 blazer gets no power anywhere.
Did you check the 175 amp main fuse? Everything except the starter and the alternator goes through it. The starter is not fused and the alternator has a fusable link inline.

Re: 97 blazer gets no power anywhere.
Ignition switch in the steering column.
Black module which fails on most 1997 Blazers.
