starter removal

Having starter problems on a 1967 MGB. Can anyone tell me how to remove the starter?

Re: starter removal

Instructions as per my Bently manual

1.) Disconnect battery

2.) Remove cover (if it is still there)

3.) Remove top securing bolt.

4.) Disconnect wiring

5.) Remove lower securing bolt. Withdraw starter motor.

Re: starter removal

I've never done it, but I was reading something yesterday saying that it was easier to remove if you the distributor to get it out due to clearance problems.
