Trans Dipstick
Does anyone know where i can get a replacement dipstick for my trans? Is it just a GM replacement part (can't seem to find it on gmpartsdirect.com) or can i get it at advance or autozone?
I just got the trans drained an the mechanic said i should replace it before it rust even further and winds up breaking and going into the trans.

Have you checked with any junk yards in your area? They should have one they can pull, and I don't imagine it would be that expensive. Just check to make sure it is in better shape that your current one.

Your chev dealer should have them.
Depending on year and trans some have been recalled with the flip top dipstick tubes. The flip top dip stick solves some venting and fire hazzard problems. MT
