Help! I have a 1997 Econoline E250, and I turned on my 4-way flashers, didn't work, so then I put on my rt. turn signal, and since then, turn signals do nothing, don't even flash on the dash. Then, today, I had someone check my brake lights, and didn't work!!! So, I have no flashers, OR brake lights. Checked all fuses I "Thought" it could be, and they all seemed fine. Is there a specific fuse that would control both of these that I could change? What would it be called? I don't have an owners manual for the van, but printed out what seems to be the correct fuse panel diagram. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: No Brake Lights, No Turn Signals!!!!!
Yes, IF the fuses are all good, and I would bet that they are you need a new "Multi-Function Switch".
They are easy to replace, as they are simply bolted to the left side of the steering column and covered with a plastic cover held togather by 3 or 4 screws from below. You would need a "Torx" style screwdriver to remove the switch, but the screws for the cover are phillips. Cost, $50 to $80 normally. |
