Finished: Fujimi F430
Just finished this one.
Color is Tamiya White Pearl with Clear Pearl. Interior Humbrol Satin black and flat red. Didn't took really long to build, every fits perfectly on this kit. This is the first Fujimi kit I've built that has a nice strance from the box. It's in facts so long that the wheels slighty rub on the fenders. My first attempt at propper panel lines, used thinned satin black, flaws were cleaned up after letting the thinner dry out for a day. I don't really like Ferrari's, but I've come to love this one. Comments welcomed ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next project: Tamiya Honda S800

Re: Finished: Fujimi F430
hi bro.. nice work .. maybe you can do masking when you do the windscreen rubber... try pressing the masking tape before you apply the black paint so that the black paint will not flow to yr white body.. maybe you can try using hair dryer to dry the black paint.. do not place it too near... hope to see yr new work again...

Re: Finished: Fujimi F430
Nice work! You've tried some new things and it's come up pretty good!
As mentioned above, try masking the window trims very well, and preferably airbrush the black on rather than regular brush. Takes practise, but soon enough you'll get it perfect. Well done! |

Re: Finished: Fujimi F430
Thanks for the comments and tips.
I ussually get better results on my windowrubbers. And I allways do them by brush, no masking. I just used a worn out brush on this one and the lines of the rubbers are a bit fuzzy on this kit. I tried masking tape once but paint kept creaping under it, especially where the tape was bent around corners. Does masking with BMF work?

Re: Finished: Fujimi F430
Looks great. The panel lines are a little heavy, I would have gone with a lighter color. Otherwise, though, it's just totally excellent. I love the detail painting in the engine bay.
