Best or Favorite street racing kill?

mine's gotta be killin my dad on a mile long stretch. He had my 79 AMX with a SR4 four speed and Welded 2.80 gears to give it the best performance he ever got it to (13.5s @ 105). I had just finished for the first time my Spirit, and for an impromtu test we decided to race them. I had a series of T-5s for the first few months, blowing each one within a week, so I gave him a handicap of 3 lengths and the jump. He left, spinnin the tires like crazy and powershifting, I let him get to the marker (stolen road cone) and dropped the clutch. I went up in smoke in first, pedalling like crazy to hook up, then I shifted into second early, got traction and started to catch up. I powershifted into third as my redline light came on (shift light set to the redline of 7250 rpm), making use of every pound of boost my small turbos would make. I caught him in fourth gear, smoking him by nearly 100 feet. My speedometer was wound right off the end, I was prolly doing around 150 MPH in fourth, with some 3.00 posi gears. Anyone else care to share?

Re: Best or Favorite street racing kill?

My favorite is my turbocharged 71 SS Camaro Vs. a 71 SS Chevelle. He spun off the line while I hooked up and I pulled about 6 cars by 90. It was bad.

No matter how slow my car is, killing preppy kids that think they're fast in their Mustang that mommy and daddy bought for them just NEVER seems to lose its amusement. I could do this for ever and be somewhat content.

Honestly, I haven't been in a good race in too long...

Re: Best or Favorite street racing kill?

Favorite kills are trailer queens that couldn't drive a mile down the road without overheating. Upon getting back to the pits, loading up my street tires(while they're loading their cars up on the trailer), and driving home in the truck with the ac on.
My favorite was this brand new C6 vette at a redlight. Great timing on having the MT et streets on and having the bottle full. Opened up the electric cutouts beside him to let him know I was interested. Light goes green, I spin just a hair, and we're pretty much head to head. As soon as I feel it grab, I flip the little switch and let the NX kit do the rest. Somewhere over 100(don't know where, because speedo stops at 99), he stopped my pull, but I was too far gone for him to play catch up. He wanted to play with me over 100, but I'm in a damn 1/4 brick. Apparantly he had something to prove by beating me in a 100+ roll race, but I wasn't feeling it.....ESPECIALLY ON DRAG RADIALS set at pretty low psi. He was obviously stock, but he had no idea what he had gotten himself into. I've raced faster, but that was by far my favorite.

Re: Best or Favorite street racing kill?

Gotta be my last run against Danno. His car seemed like it had become unbeatable at the track. It posted a 13.2 sec. 1/4 mile against my former Evo, and that was after him running back to back 13.5 sec. runs. I went to the track and amazingly pulled off 2 victories in a row with more then a car length on him, even when he redlighted. Sadly I can't be content now, cause he has a GTO, and I have yet to run it.

Re: Best or Favorite street racing kill?

Favorite kill was on a cocky ass 350z owner who ended up bogging hard on the launch and stalling as I walked away. However, nothing compares to the time some dumb shit lightning owner was talking shit about my moms car (BMW was at school, I was at home, driving my mom's C320), and ended up getting his shit owned by a ditch.

Re: Best or Favorite street racing kill?

my favorite race just happened last week, best thing i've ever seen in my life, a dodge rampage came up beside me around the corner from mcdonalds, started reving his engine, it sounded like a lawn mower, hit a red light, raced, i had about 20 car lengths on him, then got stuck behind traffic, he caught up, cut off 2 people to get in front of the pack, then took off, i politely pulled up beside a dodge ram, he knew what was going on, and slowed down so i could pass and get ahead. i came screaming up on him like a bat outta hell, then at the last minute, he pulls into my lane, it's winter time and it's icy as hell, i reacted quick and pulled out just enough to the left to not hit him, then cranked the wheel to the right and drove him right into the ditch, all i saw was plastic and metal pieces of rampage flying in the air.

i read the news paper this week, and it said "thursday afternoon a local boy crashed his fathers 1983 dodge rampage into a ditch, the vehicle was a complete wreck but the boy escaped with only minor injuries, police say the crash was caused by excessive speed combined with poor road conditions and lack of driving experience."

turns out the little dumbass took his dads car to school that day without permission, and him and his little stoner buddies took it to the mcdonalds for munchies when they found me. but you wanna know what the worst part of the whole story was? apparently a near death experience was enough to make my girlfriend think we need some time apart

Re: Best or Favorite street racing kill?

My favorite kill happened when I wasn't even legal to drive, my MOTHER was driving! Now you can call this BS if you want, but I'll put my right hand on a bible in a court of law and swear that this really happened.

In late October of 1974 My mother, my 2 brothers and sister were in our family 1973 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon (215 HP 440 Engine) heading home from doing the halloween shopping thing and was stopped at a light, this guy in a white brand spanking new 75 Vette (Still had the window sticker on it and had to have the standard 165 HP 350 in it) pulls up beside us and starts reving the engine. My brother sitting in front nudged my mom and says, "think you can take him?" she gives him this weird look then looks over at the Vette and the guy gives her this big grin and revs it up again.

She looks back at the light and eventually it changes and mom floors it! Now mind you this wagon is not the greatest thing to get out of the hole but once that 440 gets a little wound up it pulls pretty darn good for a huge car she immediately got a half a car holeshot on this guy when he realized she was going for it and he starts giving chase and stopped mom's pull and gathers a little of the distance back, but it was short lived when the wagon starts winding up in 1st and starts slowly pulling away again, the wagon shifts into 2nd and the Vette is now at the rear fenders and very slowly loosing ground, my brother and sister and I are staring at him and waving to him from the 2nd seat and laughing our asses off. By the time we started approaching the next light and mom bails out we had almost a car and a half on this dude, he wouldn't even so much as glance over at mom when he stopped for that light but you can tell he wasn't pleased at all as we just continued laughing hysterically because of the fact that mom just waxed a Vette with a Station Wagon in a redlight to redlight matchup!

Like I said, call it what you will but this really happened, alas my one brother is gone now but my other brother and sister and I still razz mom about that every once in a while, and yes that is my favorite kill!
