96 cavalier head specs

Hi. I have a 96 cavalier. I need to change the head gasket. Does anyone know the torque specs for the head.

Re: 96 cavalier head specs

It is recommended that use use new head bolts, because they are torque to yield. This causes the bolt to stretch permanently. Remember to finger tighten all the head bolts first.. Tighten rocker arm nuts to 22 ft. lbs. Tighten the valve covers to 89 inch lbs.
