Transmission temperture sensor

Where is this thing, I have a 1997 Saturn SL1. The part is only 19.00 and the dealer wants to charge me 250.00 for parts and labor.

If I remeber correctly it is to the right of the transmission filter as your are facing it. that is on my 96 SC2 automatic. Yours should be the same.

manual transaxle doesnt have one.
