97 blazer died...HELP!!!
I have a 97 blazer, ever since we got hit with -4 below zero one day, I had to jump start my suv that morning. Ever since, it barely starts up like it going to die, but it starts anyway. Its gotten worse and now this moring it didn't start at all. Also my automatic locks opened and closed by themselves as my suv died.
Things to know: **Battery is appox 3 years old **Engine takes 2 tries to crank up when starting everytime Please advise. Thanks! Last edited by rlopezpsa; 03-01-2006 at 05:06 PM. |

Re: 97 blazer died...HELP!!!
How old is the battery? If its old the cold may have finally finished it off and will not take a full charge anymore. Is the engine just slow to crank? That would usually lean towards a low power supply (battery or bad cables)

Re: 97 blazer died...HELP!!!
Take the truck up to your local auto parts store and have them test the battery. Chances are it is bad from the cold weather, and just needs to be replaced.
