350 Exhaust Manifolds

Hey whats goin on um....... i just pulled my 305 out of my 84 Camaro along with the tranny i thought i was just gonna have to pull everything off of it and put it on the 350 that im putting in it....... But the problem is........ the exhaust manifold from the 305 wont fit on the 350 , so im stuck and dont know what to do..... I was told that all exhaust manifolds should fit on all small blocks but it is to long for the 350 and the dipstick is in the way of the manifold also ....Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 350 Exhaust Manifolds

Do the pipes line up right? Do you think you could just grind some of the metal down so it fits right?
You might need to get a different set of manifolds for this 350, where did you get the engine? Mabe you should go back for the manifolds.

Re: 350 Exhaust Manifolds

The Exhaust passageways line up perfect but the Farthest back bolt goes into nothing ...... Its just goes into air because its to long for the heads but i cant go back to get manifolds for this because i bought the engine used and rebuilt it with a few friends.........

Re: 350 Exhaust Manifolds

sounds to me like it's a hole for a bracket, like the ac compressor bracket, try the manifold on the other head, see if it lines up that way.

Re: 350 Exhaust Manifolds

You said that one manifold doesnt go on right, but the holes line up correctly, right?
What about the second manifold? Does it fit correctly on its side?

Re: 350 Exhaust Manifolds

Can you just drill an extra hole on the ends(of manifolds) so they line up with the holes in the block?
You might just have to reroute the path of the dipstick.
