Speed Sensor Problems

Well I just bought a 2000 2.5rs and it supposably just had speed sensor changed, but the CEL came on, when previous owner was delivering it to my house. So i figured maybe something with ecu got messed up so i cleared the codes, (3 speed sensor codes) hoping it would go away.

But no i got denied. So i was wondering if anyone else had this kind of problem and knew a way to fix it?

*Its very annoying to start drive being able 2 hit redline or whatever, then half way threw trip have car go into gimp mode and need to be shifted before 4500 for its limp mode rev limiter.

Re: Speed Sensor Problems

Sounds like the car wants to protect itself from you if you're redlining it a whole lot

Have the speed sensor cable checked over too, maybe there is a problem with the harness.
