Re: Motor

not to be a jerk or anything but the valve cover only has about 4 bolts in it. maybe next time you should take it off. but that was a good paint job besides that.

Re: Motor

personaly i would just go to ebay for an intake. but dont go cheap cuz then you dont get the right fit. remember you get what you payfor. and for the battery situation. just throw it in the back. go to autozone or checker auto parts and buy a battery relocation box. then get some 4 guage amp wire. run the wire to the starter and the fuse box up front(under the hood) and connect it to the battery. for the ground i just scraped away some of the paint around one of the tail light bolts and connected it there. good luck for future mods tho.

Re: Motor

yeah that's a bad paint job, but I don't know why you want to relocate your battery?

Re: Motor

you shouldnt need to relocate your battery... if you get one for your car (it will say for 88-91 civic/crx...ect) it will go around your battery i know someone here has a pic of a cold air with stock battery location...check out the pic (roll call thread) in off topic.
here is a pic of my short ram...i got it at auto zone (for a 92-00 civic) it didnt fit too well so i cut it a little put it on my stock air tube and it works fine for me.

Re: Motor

I have a CAI with my battery in it's stock location. I don't have the stock battery tie down though so I just got one from Advance Auto and tied it down across it instead of long ways. My pic should be in that pics thread as described above...

Re: Motor

I know about the horrible location of the battery all too well...

Had just installed my CAI and not even a day later, from touching the battery terminal it ate a hole straight thru it... So I just taped it up with tape like this...

Note the new red cover on the terminal, I ended up buying an OEM battery cable to fix the problem... Havnt had a problem since... The aftermarket terminals are just way too big... Anyways, when you install it, just becareful, move it back and forth to make sure it wont touch the batt + terminal.. Course I have since cut off the peice where the tape is, and just made it into a short ram... So the silicone coupler is there by the battery now to stop it from happening as well...
