Talking Pwned

I was driving my dad's chipped F-350 crewcab with a 7.3L Powerstroke and auto one night last week, and I was sittin at a light on a four lane road. this noisey civic pulls up beside and starts showin off, revvin his less-than-a-bottle-of-coke motor, and I just started laughing. I guess they didn't figure on a truck tossin revs back. I dropped it into low, then loaded up the boost and torque converter. the light goes green, I let the brake off, let the truck get up to a speed where standing on it wouldn't blow the tires away, then flattened the throttle. I manually shifted into second, let it go till it didn't pull no more, then dropped it in drive, not once seeing the civic, even out of the corner of my eyes. I guess he made it close enough to my blind spot before I blew through the next intersection. my buddy who I was going to meet, who has the twin turbo wankel out of an RX7 in a B2200 truck, thought that that was the sickest sounding race I've ever been in. I had to buff the rubber off the quarters before i got home tho

Re: Pwned

I don't mind small motors, I just hate it when teens (like me) rev their motors (like me) to impress people they don't know (they're too busy laughin at my car to be impressed). my cuz has a bug, it's gotta be the sweetest ride I've ever been in. BTW, bitchin Datsun (I think.. not good on older import Ids)

Re: Pwned

yeah some of them trucks sure can go like someone shoved a nasa rocket in its tail pipe. At least though your dads truck has balls i deal with hicks with stock motors and straight pipes so i salute you and your dads truck.

Re: Pwned

Haha, no Civ is talking about a trend some of us have noticed. Every first kill story posted on AF deals with beating a civic. I remember mine was, sniff and i also remember Civ making fun of me about it.

Re: Pwned

Re: Pwned

If I remember, some of those Chips can get you up to 150HP. And that's just a chip. Throw in an Intake, open up that exhaust and you've got yourself a pretty decently quick truck.

A few guys here on the Rez seem to have their own group. They all own a Ford F250 Super Duty Turbo Diesel. Each of which have the Banks Turbo System on them. I'd say they run somewhere around the 13 sec. range. That's pretty damn good for a big ass truck like those. I raced a few back when I had the Civ. Got my ass whooped without a problem. Them trucks are insane. The worst of which was a Dually.

And AMC TT6. Gfro pointed out exactly what I was saying. It's just a trend here. With all new guys. He faced it, and I was just being a jackass by pointing it out. I do that . Gfro still holds it against me to this day...

Re: Pwned

ive looked at the differences between the 7.3l diesel and the 6.0 ford uses now just out of curiousity. apparently the 6.0 is more powerful stock, but the 7.3 likes mods a whoollle lot.

Re: Pwned

Some of those chips are pretty insane. Ive heard that they can really unlock the potential in those engines.. Making them hit over 500 hp / 700lbs per ft of torque.. and thats being conservative! Supposedly one of the easiest upgrades to any engine, but Ive only seen one diesel like that.. and WOW, those things are scary, that big and that fast. (I wouldnt do it.. and I like fast trucks.)

Re: Pwned

the chip is just a 75 horse towing chip. It makes about 600 ft lbs of torque. aw, I'm part of a trend? what's next, another AMC street racer on here?
