Shelby Mustang GT350..just completed

Hey guys, I just recently became active at AF in the car modeling forum,
I have done a few very crappy models in the past years but it wasn’t
until I visited various sites and became first inspired by hiro's work sometime last year, hence that lead me to this forum and lead me to more people whose work I inspire.

though I am still lacking many skills as a modeler I hope to improve sometime soon.

At the time, I don’t have the ability or much time to create such sweet custom works that I see most people do in this forum, so most of my works are just off the box and sometimes of just mixing and matching spare parts

I just recently completed a 66/65 Shelby GT350H mustang for my friends’ b-day

There are lots of little mistakes made but yeah it was done in hope of
finishing in time of her bday...I hope you guys enjoy my first impression feel free to criticize my work, theres always space for me to improve =]

nice clean build. it looks OOB but clean none the less. try to use less glue on the headlights in the future or for that matter try clear coat paint to glue them. they look a bit cloudy to me, a toothpick is great for appling glue in this area. keep it up!

Look good. Try to take pictures outside, with better light.

its tamiya gun metal TS-38, sry no outside pix for this car, maybe for my other projects if they come out good. I'm working on a 64 impala lowrider right now with some minor paint problems but thats another story.

No need to beat yourself up. I think you did a pretty good job on it.

Re: Shelby Mustang GT350..just completed

Looks great for your first posted model mate. Only tip I can give is try compound and clearcoat with tamiyas metallic paints.... because they all get a crap finish straight from a cold can, if you're experienced enough you can get a decent finish with tamiya metallics with a decent amount of heat in the can. I hope you keep building cars that made the term 'rev head' exist.
