Re: vibration
I had the same problems with my car and it was driving me nuts. It turned out that I did have a bad tire after I had them ballanced 4 times. These tires were brand new as well so it pissed me off. Other then your tires I don't know what it could be.

![]() same here, uneven wear associated with a lack of rotating the tires regularly, i don't think people realize how much that matters to the life of your tires, the sumitomo's i had lasted... 10k miles or so that way, not that they were supposed to last much longer anyways but you get the idea flat spots also cause this problem bottom line, new tires (get some good ones, it makes a big difference) , alignment, balance, and plan on rotating them in 7500 miles if that doesn't work, get new rims, they aren't terribly strong so bending them will cause some vibration, stock ones aren't hard to find and i'm looking at purchasing an extra set soon GTS style

Re: vibration
I agree with that. Had the same problem with my GT. Especially if your car is lowered and you don't have an aftermarket chamber kit on the car. It seems like it eats the inside of your rear tires. But anyways new tires fixed that with out a problem

Re: vibration
I would not go any faster than what feels safe. If it starts to feel bad after like 80, then dont do more than 80. I doubt you would lose control or a wheel or anything, but its just not a smart idea. Stupid way to crash your car (and doing 100 might kill you if you crash)

Re: vibration
control is based entierly on the driver as for loseing the wheel its posable.
Id just get new tires ASAP just buy cheep 1s that are new and have the wheels balenced/ alignment and all that good stuff. if it still shakes after that the frame might be tweaked or even simpler a strut is blown. |

Re: vibration
I agree with everyone else. If you are going over 100 and you have a blow out your doomed. Not a very safe thing to do.
Where do you live where you have 100 mph speed limits anyway. I want to move there. As far as getting cheap tires, I don't think that is very smart. Your wasting your money if they will only last 10 to 15 K miles. You could invest that money in a good mutual fund or something. Buy the best, it will save you money in the long run.

Re: vibration
if i own a vehicle that can go that fast, i will drive it that fast and the reason why is a 45min drive on I88 almost every day.
my last car was a 95 grand am gt and it had absolutely no problem ever going 115 the whole way. i see the eclipse (in perfect working order obviously) a more fit vehicle to do such in buddy of mine that works at discount tire says that yokohamas are reasonably cheap and will last a pretty good while... should i go for it or something else... |
