Re: buying a corolla

IDK shit about the 96 but how many miles? how is the engine? If it needs a paint job than add another grand to your total because a good paint job is not cheap.

Re: buying a corolla

Yeah I'm thinking it was stock spring just clampened up. Well if its a clamp look for a bolt that you can take off the clamp or a screw. Its looks like it has lots of problems. Have you thought about buying a another car, Like say "1985 Corolla GTS"

Re: buying a corolla

well i was originaly going to get into a 2004 toyota camry but then i found out that i have a baby on the way. me and my wife share a car a 1996 sebring convertible now that she is pregnant i am looking 4 sumthing 4door and with a/c (the convertables a/c is out) and when i found out that my neighbor was selling his car i desided to look into it, i mean its a good car i hade a 95 dx and i ragged the shyt out of it untill the rngine could take no more and sold it to my frind and bought the sebring. but the cars a/c works perfect the cars engine runs fine the lady bough it off somebody am guessing a kid bcuz it has sum ugly exhaust tip an intake and the wiring 4 an amp plus the front was lowered. the inside is really clean the outside has sum small door dents and the fender that is damaged i was able to work her down 2 $1900 from her original $2300

Re: buying a corolla

Well you could get it if it was that cheap and if you want to mod it just get a 20valve. The car is a AT right and FWD? If it is then you could hella do a engine swap. It would be a nice ride and a sleeper. Having a kid is hard, I don't have one but seeing the parents go through all the shyt it's crazy. Can you get a pic of the car?

Re: buying a corolla

20Valve is a silvertop or blacktop it came in the early JDM corollas. ST is at 160hp and BT is 165 but BT can handle more power and has more mods(I think). It has the VVTi which is like vtec but in toyotas form. For my car it would be hella nice to have a ST or BT because my car is light. How much does the car weigh? Oh and if your in Cali forget about the 20valve unless you have sumone that can hook u up with a smog pass.

Re: buying a corolla

20v is anywhere from ST 500-1000 and BT is 800-1500. The BT is a great engine. If I were you I would get a ST : easy on money and fast as heck. The car is pretty light I thought it was heavier than that. My 86 ways about 2,400 lbs.

Re: buying a corolla

Sry I took so long bro but the swap is pretty much straight froward. Wiring is the hard part but the swap will be easy.
