firebird formula rear deck spoiler

I tried to post a new thread yesterday. Im just wondering if anybody knows anything about the rear rubber spoiler for a 1989 formula. I cant get a new one from GM. My body guy does not want to work the one on the car. The ones I am finding in the junk yard are worse than the one on the car. will a newer style fiberglass one work? can I prep this piece myself for paint? please help if you know anything.

They make 4th gen fiberglass T/A spoilers for third gens. They look pretty good, here's a link to one site that sells them. http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/sdetail/265

Or if you want to keep it with a stock appearance, here's a fiberglass version of your spoiler
