Death To A Semi-modded '05 Caddy STS

I'm on a small road trip to go see my cousin and i had just gotten onto the highway for a 2 1/2 hour trip, when about 15 mins. into it i find myself next to a red caddy, i dont think much of it just that it had alot of engine noise. I figured this guy has the V8 or a heavily modded v6.

I speed up a bit to distance myself from him when he does the same. I shrug it off and speed up a bit to 70. My g/f taps me on the shoulder. "what?" I ask her.
" I think that guy is trying to race you." She responds to me
I laugh a bit and tell her "no he's not, watch" I speed up to 80 and pull ahead. The guy starts falling back, "see he's not"
She taps me again as i slow down a bit "i think he is" I look over to my left and sure enough he was trying to race me!
I drop it into 3rd and its on! My rpms rev up to 5,000 and i floor it taking it up to 100 as i shift to 4th, the guy begins to drop back a bit and now has his nose at my door, he starts to creep up on me when i shift into 5th now going 120. He drops back fast as i put 2 cars on him on my way to 135.
I slow it down back to 80 when he comes by me wanting more.

Round 2: I down shift to 4th and chase after him, he had a lead of a car infront of me, I take it up to 100 again and reel him in as i shift to 5th. Again i'm at 135 and have a car on him. I drop my speed down again and he matches me.

Round 3: i drop to 3rd once more now going 65 and we floor it again, he gets the jump on me, but i begin to pull as i get to 4th, I hear his engine roar loud through my window and music as i begin to take the lead once more. I drop speed and he does again. I look at him as he matches me and i say to myself, thats enough of this, thanks for the runs and thanks for shaving about 20 mins off my travel time, but i've gotta pee. so i slow it down and get off at a rest stop.

Good times, good times...

(edit) It was an 05 STS they didnt make em in 04 my bad

There are 2 engine options; a 255hp v6 and a 320hp v8. Im guessing u raced the v6. even so, gj

it was red, with the STS badge, i didnt know if it was a V6 or 8 though cause it was at night with not enough light to see if there was a badge with a V6 or 8

Any mods to your Jetta? It had to have been a V6 if you're stock. Those V8 pull hard, especially at higher speeds.

I'm stock, if it was a v6 i wouldve pulled alot quicker then i did, but again i said at the begining it couldve been a modded v6 or a stock v8 cause i heard alot of engine noise and very little exhaust so it couldve been either since the v8's run similar times, or close to it, to me
