'02 Jetta alarm is possessed
I changed batteries in my factory remotes today. The alarm randomely goes off by itself causing angry sleepers in my neighborhood. I have tried reprogramming and everything that is in the owners manual. Nothing works. The battery is now disconnected so my neighbors may sleep and I am thinking that this may reset the ecu and alarm. Any ideas please?

Re: '02 Jetta alarm is possessed
It's more likely a bad sensor or wiring problem in the alarm system that makes it think someone opened a door or hood, etc....

Re: '02 Jetta alarm is possessed
I had the same problem it was the cars battery it was dieing, as it got weak it would cause the alarm to go off. Dont change the battery yourself because you have to reset the computer wich is another problem
