GTI Test drive

I drove one today. It had a DSG box in it. I hate automatics. Have I ever said that before? I must admit, that is the sickest AT I've ever driven. I would actually buy one. Over the MT!! The "Tip-Tronic" shifter is very easy to use, suprise suprise. The paddle shifting makes you just want to abuse the car so badly, driving it all over town like it was stolen. The suspension is no less amazing, very flat cornering, good steering feel, not too harsh over bumps, I just can't think of enough good stuff to say about it. I never really like VW other than the GTI (And the Phaeton, but I'm pretty much alone there I think), and truthfully I still don't. Out of all the cars out right now, that is by far the most impressive ride I've experienced in a looooong time. The engine has much more to offer than previous gen GTi's. My advice, go take a ride. I sell for a company that ownes a VW store, so it is a little easier for me, I guess. Do go and take a apin though, it's much more enjoyable than say the new Si. (And yes, I do like Honda much better than VW overall.)
