Trading my GS-T

I've been thinking of getting a 2g GSX for the longest time. My first idea was to put some mods on my car, sell it, then grab a gsx. Since that will take a while and selling will take a while now I'm thinkin of looking for a local dealer with a GSX and trade my GS-T. But I'm scared that they will ask TOO low for my car since they look at KBB to see the trade value. The thing is, they sell the car at a much higher value. My car is paid off and I don't want to put down another loan. You think someone will directly trade my GS-T to a GSX? I mean they're kinda the same... right?

Re: Trading my GS-T

You're always better off trying to sell the car on your own. I doubt a dealer will do a direct trade unless the gsx is older or has higher miles. You also probably wont find a dealer with a gsx.

Re: Trading my GS-T

I doubt someone would make that trade. It would have to be to their advantage some way, and there are only a few things that would give them that advantage....none of which you want to sacrifice. Your better off just trying to sell it, and keeping your eyes peeled.

My car has 105k mileage. Mods on my sig. Its nice i mean i just want a gsx. Should i do more mods before selling or sell it now since it wont make much difference? My car was probably worth 9k... man i think imma lose a lot of money

Re: Trading my GS-T

I wouldn't mod it since you wont get any money back for the mods. I also wouldn't deal with a dealer unless you're really short on time or have lots of $. You'll just get jacked. They have to make their cut ya know. It's like trading a used game into a store rather than selling it yourself. My brother took a game in, they said they'd give him $18 store credit or like $8 cash. He went on ebay and sold it for $40.

Re: Trading my GS-T

scottsee how do you actually sell a car? The car is in my mom's name. What if somebody was interested and wanted to buy the car cash or loan.

Then you tell your mom to sign everything over to the new owner.
