2003 Malibu won't start
2003 Malibu won't start, 6cyl, 67K miles
Getting fire to plugs, but I don't hear the fuel pump hum when the key is first turned on. Checked fuses and swapped breakers. I don't have that theft light on the dash blinking, so I don't think it is that. Any ideas? I guess I'll try to get at the fuel pump itself, but it looks like I have to drop the tank as the pump goes in through the top. I'll check for voltage to the pump. If good, then probably the pump. Will put voltage to the pump just to make sure. QUESTION: What if there is not voltage to the pump? This is my cousins car, I don't have a manual on it (yet). I'll check for responses to this post often, in case someone out there has an idea and can save me some time and effort. Thanks, Jim |

i would disconnect your fuel line up in the engine compartment and see if your getting fuel ..you canuse a clear glass bottle to cath the fuel or similar.
was this just sitting and one day would turn over or whats more on the history to this problem .. and engine codes ? |

Sorry Mane! I posted this on the Malibu forum on 02-01 at 2:52 p.m. and only had one reply (thanks GeoStormRS). I was in a crunch and looking for more help. It was the fuel pump and is back up and running as of 02-06 at 11:00 p.m.
