Question Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

Well since I just bought a daily driver Mazda MX-3, I am looking for a GSX. DSM trader is down and DSM tunners classifieds is messed up and I cant find any DSM's except on EBAY. I saw this for sale but kinda sounds not too realistic to me.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mitsu...spagenameZWDVW

700HP with still stock BOV, intercooler pipes also stock.
And the thing that got me the most.... reserver set at $2950.
OK... a 700 horsepower DSM for $3k ??
Man, its hard to find a good GSX these days

Re: Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

I would ask to see a parts list and some of the major reciepts(ex. shop reciepts, part orders, etc.). Even if its a "Stock" it looks like its in decent shape. run a carfax on it and see what that turns up. if its clean, i wouldn't be affraid to bid. but i would talk to the seller first.

Re: Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

I'm calling BS on this one. Notice the stock looking exhaust? You 2g GSX guys will be better able to tell than me, but it looks stock to me. Also, look at the from-the-top picture of the engine. Doest that look like a t-67? Doesnt look much bigger than Mike's 14b to me.

i would deffinatly call bs on the 700 HP but its looks like a nice car. Just because the muffler is stock does not mean it is a stock exhaust.

Re: Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

Yeah my guess is it's bullshit. Where do you live? That place is not all that far from me (4 hours). Also note thats a 16g turbo, i don't see a tial bov. Also that exhaust is stock, and why would you put different piping but keep the stock muffler? Ask him for updated pictures and if he says those are up to date then you know he's full of shit but maybe he'll say those are taken before some mods.

Yea, sounds like he's overhyping that thing. If you got super serious about buying it, ask him to take individual pics of every single one of those mods. I don't care how bad I had to move, if I was selling a 700hp GSX there's no way I'd let it go for that cheap.

btw it looks too, dare I say, ricey for my taste exterior wise.

Re: Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

Several things....700hp and:
no fmic?
stock radiator?
extremely small looking turbo?
no gm maf?
no cage?
says nitrous but don't see any hoses or plugs or switches in the pics?

He says racing radiator with slim fans but you can tell in the pic that it's stocker. He says tial wastegate but I don't see one....? He also says Tial bov but the one in the pics is the 1g...so...BS!

Re: Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

We should alert the bidders, I know I would like it if someone were to help me out in that situation.

Re: Still looking for a GSX... Found this though

Bidding has ended for that item. Lol, no wonder. It's an okay looking ride, but I don't get the whole "I think it's 700 horespower" deal. If I thought I had a 700 hp car, I'd dyno it asap.
