Re: 1983 Cutlass

Engine Drop? What Engine Was In The Car? And What Are You Putting In?

If The Car Came With An Olds V8 (260, Or 307) You Can Use Original Motor Mounts On Any Other Olds V8 (260 - 455). If You Are Putting In A 350 Your Set..... To Swap From 260/307 To A 350, (and I Am Talking Just Oldsmobile) The Outsides Of The Engines Are Exactly The Same... Brackets, Pulleys, Pumps, And Alternator, Just Make Sure The Waterpumps Are The Same Height.

If You Are Transplanting A V8 Into A V6 Car, You Might Want To Find A Donor Car. You Will Need Everything Even The Transmission, And Crossmember. V6 Transmissions May Bolt Up, But Are Not Strong Enough For Even A Mildly Built V8. You Will Then Also Need To Find V8 Front Springs, Unless You Like Lowriders.

Let Me Know More Particulars, And I Can Help,
Al
