anouther tire question

I have a 98 chevy blazer LT, 4x4, 4.3, towing package, trany cooler....stock
My question is will a 235\70\15 on my stock rims fit?...I know 235\75\15 will fit, but I like the wider tire. I wouldnt go any taller than the 235.
I had a toy pu with something similar and the stance looked pretty mean...thats what im looking for....

235 is the width. 70 or 75 is the aspect ratio for the height, as in 70% of 235 is the height, so with a 235/70 tire, the height is 164.5mm. On a 235/75 tire, the height is 176.25mm.

On stock rims, 235 is the recommended max width. For 245 and up wider tires, you'll need to go with wider rims. The stock rims are 7" wide (I think), and you'd need 8 to 9" wide rims for wider tires.

Re: anouther tire question

how about 31x12.5x15? or would 12.5 be too wide? maybe 10.5?

I run 265/70/15 BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A on stock rims. They take up most of the fenderwells, with zero rubbing.

265s on stock rims??? Do they bulge at the sidewalls at all?

Here's a front pic of what 255/50/16s look like.
These are on Corvette rims. I only had them on for a cruise around the block.
They didn't rub either, but the profile was too low, so I took them off.

Remember, this was done just as a joke by me.
These wheels and tires are off of my Corvette. As someone said in my original post, they look like HotWheels tires.

I would guess that Blazee's tires are close to the same width (mine are 255s, his are 265s - about 4/10 of an inch wider for the 265s)

My point is, even with the wider tires and the correct wheel offset, they still don't stick out of the wheel wells. Personally, I think tires and wheels protruding outside the wells are dumb (unless you have the bolt-on fender flares)

Re: anouther tire question

Mine are about the same width as the ones in Mike's pictures. They are a lot taller though and take up most of the fenderwells. They don't stick out past the fenders, and look normal on the rims (no large or abnormal bulges). If I get time later I'll post some pics.

Re: anouther tire question

I run 30x9.50s.

31x10.50 will rub with stock rims.
