Re: Jdm Sohc Zc Vtec!!!!
no they aren't 140hp. The SOHC VTEC ZC motors are the same as the D16Z6 motors.

The information GS provided you was correct. Why dont you take some time and do some investigation online, and find the answers that we both have provided for you. Then go drive off a cliff. |

A SOHC ZC block(Which the thread is talking about) and SOHC D16 block are THE SAME BLOCK. Different cams don't make different engines. Blocks sharing casts, and having interchangeablity makes it the SAME engine. 18 HP difference? Non VTEC SOHC ZC 120 PS. Non VTEC D16A6 SOHC 108 HP. The cam is better on this particular comoparison 120 PS = 118 HP. There is a 10 HP difference. Either way, the SOHC VTEC ZC is a D16Z6 with 2 more HP. The only difference in a D16Z6 and SOHC VTEC ZC is the stamp on the block, and ECU tuning to run on better fuel. The cam is not any better in this comparison, and the differnce in power is minimal. The difference? D16Z6 125 HP SOHC VTEC ZC 130 PS. You know what, it's the D15B that has a more agrresive cam than the D16Z6 SOHC VTEC ZC D16A (only in 93-95 JDM coupe) And further, the SOHC VTEC ZC and coupe D16A are identical in EVERY ASPECT, including power output. Tell me they are different. Don't get mad at people just because YOU want to believe you can get a SOHC with 140 HP. The truth hurts, sometime, kid. Oh, Brody P, some of that is off. 94+ Integra had a SOHC ZC The 84-87 CRX/Civic/Integra is 135PS/133HP. More than later ZC's. The 92-95 Civic also had a ZC available in the EG5 Anniversary hatch
