Got Questions

I just bought a 89 Civic Hatchback and i got a couple questions.
1. It doesnt have the ciggarette lighter hookup, and my friend gave me a radar detector to plug into the ciggarette lighter..so how do i go about hooking it up??
2. Also it doesn't have the radio in it and i cant find the installion kit for it anywhere. I might of found the right one but i had to return in b/c i didnt have the cash to spare at the moment..so to my ?. Do i have to take the outer ring of the console off to get the installation kit in there right?

I didn't even need a installatoin kit....my cd player fit right into the hole with no problems...the only thing that was used was the metal sleve that comes with the cd player.
As far as the ciggarette lighter...I think you might be able to go buy one and hook it up but I don't know how to hook it up..sorry

theres a good chance the wiring is there for the cig ligther, just not hooked up. you'll need the console with the ligther and then check for wiring to be there already. if its not there im sure its not hard to hook up, probably just power and ground.

radar detectors are junk neways.. just like those jammers.. most police municipalities use vascar which is pretty much undetecable.. unless u like the pretty lights and queer sounds they make when u drive past a bank or armored car and shit throwing off RF waves they are waste
