little knocking

my ? is if theres knocking in the valve cover what could it be and is is dangerous if i keep driving my car that way i own 96 honda civic hx sohc vtec

well if it sounds like your car is knocking and coming from the head, Thats what my g/f's Lx has done for around 15k miles now it has gotten a little worse but we drive it all over like that LOL...Sounds like shit when its cold but once it warms up it runs great...

Prolly needs a good valve adjustment or possibally find a good used head and change them out or have your head redone...

I trust mine enough to let it go cause its just a Y7 and those motors are dime a dozen and around 200 a drop where im at so i dont care for the head to go..

But im not sure on the HX"s i know those are Y5's and i dont really see many of them floating around...
