Supra electrical problem

Hi I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to troubleshoot for an electrical problem. I have an 87 turbo which i rebuilt the engine. Turn signals do not work, remote starter does not work properly and battery drained over night. Once it starts, it runs prefect. Please help

Re: Supra electrical problem

You can find the manual here.

http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/index.html

It has the full wire diagrams for the car along with troubleshooting procedures. You will need a multimeter with volt and ohm functions. You can find them at hardware stores and autoparts stores for arround $20. If you have never done electrical work before I would reccomend finding a friend that can help you.

Re: Supra electrical problem

i looked through the manual, but i dont know where to trace the actual wires for the turn signal in the engine bay. I'm thinking that i missed one of the ground wires. Anyone know what else could cause problems with the turn signal or draining of the battery.
