si sway bar noise
I just installed a sway bar from a 00 SI on my 99 DX coupe. I also have a Apex WS catback.
My problem is now the sway bar is rubbing up on the exhaust causing a grating/screeching sound. I cut down the bolt that was the cause of the scratching, and it solved most of the problem, but when I hit a large bump, or make a hard right turn the sound returns albeit more subtley. Anyone else have this problem? BTW I did a search and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I posted a new thread. Thanks in advance for any help.

It's just the suspension flexing. U might want to look into a aftermarket one such as a DC sport or something and maybe that will solve the problem. Good luck.

The bolt that connects the sway bar to the endlink. I cut it down almost to the nut but the scratching still happens everynow and again. I'm thinking that I should try to get the bolt down as close to the nut as possible.
BTW RedRocket I'm 100% positive the sounds I'm hearing (and things I'm seeing) aren't simply suspension flex.

I have an after market sway bar on my 97 civic and it use to hit in the same place. I had the muffler shop move the exhaust a bit over to give me the clearance I needed. I have not heard it since I had that done. Good luck. stefan525
