ok lets give this another shot...

i've posted this question here, honda-tech and crxpower numerous times lemme run this down to you...... ok, have a 90 crx w/ b16 j1 trans... my drivers side axle went out, i was told the 93 gsr's will fit, but i can't get the shaft and half shaft to separate.... instead i just ripped the guts of the inner cv boot out....

I know what youre talking about....I pulled a halfshaft from a 91 teg from a local yard for mellowboy, and did the exact same thing as you.

I tried prying with a prybar, a huge screwdriver, soaked it with pbblaser,
tried heating it with a little propane torch, all to no avail. I was going to just hack away at it with a cutting torch at work but decided against it. Eventually mellowboys brothers autoshop class spent like an hour trying to separate it and finally got it. I dont know what they did though. Maybe try emailing him.

peace

you might try and e-mail your question to Jon ([email protected]). he has incredible info on the difference in USDM and JDM parts and he's taken apart a lot of parts.

he used to answer all the questions on the board like this...but he hasn't been around lately

anyways...e-mail him and i'm sure he can help
