Re: Selling My LS1

this is a copy of the add i had on e-bay

Vehicle Description
Beautiful Black 1999 Firebird Trans Am!! Fully Loaded. T-Tops, 6 speed Transmission, Electronic Traction Control, 6-way Adjustable drivers seat with Adjustable lumbar support, LS1 V-8 (same as the corvette of the same year), Power Mirrors, Power Door Locks, Power Windows, Dual Airbags, Anti-lock Brakes, Chrome rims, tires have 70% tread left, class 2 hide-a-hitch!! This car runs and drives like a dream!! The ONLY reason i am forced to get rid of my baby is because i have a new baby ( a human one) and finances are getting a bit tight. I will cry the day that she's gone, but i guess it's time to grow up for now!
This car is in very good condition, but not excellent condition. as you can see from the pictures the interior is PRISTINE!! except for the drivers side floor mat, which has been worn down to the rubber backing. this has not affected the original carpet in any way, and just needs a replacement of the floor mat. also there is an inch long snag in the leather seat. It is NOT a rip!! only a snag of the top layer of the leather, and barely noticeable.
The Exterior is pretty good with normal road wear from almost 100k miles. It also has a scratch on the rear passenger quarter from some punk keying me, and a couple of quater sized dents, apparently from somones door hitting me in a parking lot, the pictures should show all of this as well. there is also a slight ripple in the tip of the hood which is only noticeable from about 5 feet away, but it would be best to get it redone as well. That is from someone who backed into me at a STOPLIGHT, thank you very much, and instead of calling the cops like i should have i agreed to handle it off the books, and got a crappy bondo job out of it. the hood was only bent about two inches back, but the bondo fix, wasn't really smooth, and then the paint wasn't the best either. i took it to a body shop and was quoted around $300 for the total repair of the hood, and rear quarter, so not too much obviously.
Mechanically the engine is Puuurfect!! I get a synthetic oil change every 3000 miles, and have had absolutely no engine problems whatsoever. There is one problem with the transmission, it works fine except for when its in reverse it always trys to kick out of gear. Everything else is fine, and it will still go into reverse, you just have to hole the shifter there, or it will kick out. I've spoken with a couple of mechanics, and most likely it's just a bent fork, and really not a big deal to fix. Another thing is that the left headlight motor continues to run for about 3-5 seconds after the headlight is closed, my guess is that there's a swtch that's not being made. the only other mechanical thing is that the power antenna doesn't go up and down any longer, so i unhooked the motor so it would stop running when nothing was happening. the only thing with that is the nylon leader that powered the antenna up and down broke.

i still haven't figured out how to post my pics on this thing... some help would be appreciated, and i am asking $7300 for the car.. 99,264 miles..

Re: Selling My LS1

You're probably having trouble selling it because youre asking over $7K for a 100K mile car thats 7 years old...though, it will sell if your patient. Someone who is really wanting your car will eventually come along and pay whatever price your asking...

Re: Selling My LS1

i have to get that much because i owe the bank almost 7k, plus, even though it sounds rough in the description, minus the $300 in body work that it needs, the car looks almost brand new, it's a really really clean car, and very well maintained
