just wondering, but do u think its worth it to swap the auto tranny with a manual tranny on a 2000-2002 GP? i kno that its harder to do on newer cars, but i wanted to know if anybody knew how easy or difficult it would be on this particular car. Personally, i prefer drivin cars with manual transmissions and dont want to get another car with a 5spd and give up the GP. I know that anything can be done as long as u have the money, but if it costs too much money, i dont think its all that worth it in my case.
any advice or suggestions would b great.....thanks

Re: GP Manual transmission
There is no 5 spd tranny that will fit on the car that can hold the power. I read talks of trying to make the G6 GTP 6 spd tranny fit the L67's but i dont think its been done yet.. so no dont hold your breath for a manual 2nd gen W

Re: GP Manual transmission
I would also love to have a manual trans, but the parts just aren't available. GM's manual transaxles cannot handle the 3800's torque, and the demand was never there to bother with a production model. Other than the Corvette and Camaro (when it was still around), GM views a manual trans as an entry level, not enthusiast based option. I believe that is their basis for not offering a stick in upper level car lines.
