302 compatible

hi, i have a 302 but dont know what year, or what car it came from, i think its an 85ish but i dont know, i need a new carburator, but apperentlly not all 302 carburators are the same... is this true? i need to know what year, and what car it came from in order to get the carburator?
if you guys could tell me the brand, or part number it would be also appreciated.

No, only the size of the carb in relation to engine displacement matters. Do you have a stock engine, or is this the start of a build?

Re: 302 compatible

its not stock, but its already been built, but the carb gave out and needed to be replaced. the one that was ordered apperentlly didnt fit, even tho it was for a 302 which i thought was weird, but now i got one, so theres no more problem thanx a lot anyways.
