Unhappy 1998 Explorer Oil Pump Problem

Any idea's what happened?? I was driving my truck at 65mph going up hill and all of a sudden the oil pressure dropped to 0. I shut down the engine and coasted. When I re-started the truck the oil pressure went back up for about 2 mins and then dropped again. This seems to continue happening. I had changed the oil (didn't look to bad) and the filter. Someone suggested that my oil pump was overheating in that 2 minute time and needs to be replaced.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

I was having a similar problem except my oil pressure gauge would read low pressure when I first started the engine. I took it to the dealer as it was still under warranty and they replaced the oil pressure sending unit and it cleared right up. If it was a hill that you are able to go 65mph on I doubt it was steep enough to keep the oil from going into the pump. I would look into the oil pressure sending unit it is like a $12 part.
