If you know anything about luminas, please help me

Well, i think i fixed my problem with overheating it ended up being an air bubble in my cooling system. but now it has been hesitating when i first drive for like 2 or 3 miles, the struts are making alot of noise in the back, its leaking a little bit of oil, and my electric locks and windows are not working. my passenger side window will go down but not up, and by passenger front and driver rear doors both lock but wont unlock. if you know anything about any of these, please let me know. also

thanks, Joe

Could be a fuse for the doors....as far as the struts and the oil, they seem to be common Lumina problems......Also, since it has been so cold (at least up here) I had to re-oil the mechanism with PB blaster to get it functioning again.

Hesitation: Have you tuned it up recently? have you changed fuel filter? try some fuel injector cleaner and/or dry-gas to see if you have water in the fuel or some deposits in the injectors.

oil leak: where is the oil coming from? IF it's from the drivers side, there is an oil pump drive housing (essentially a distributor with the top cut off) that has an o-ring seal that is prone to leak. It is located under the throttle body in the middle of the "v" just off the end of the intake.

struts: upper mounts are a common problem, causing creaking/squeaking/rattling noises, especially over bumps. Also, the rear transverse leaf spring has rubber cushions on each end where it contacts the rear spindle, and these degrade over time and will cause a squeak/rattle in the rear.

Door lock problems: could be either a bad switch(s) or the wires could be broken where they go from the body of the car into the door. Another possibility is the lock actuators themselves have gone bad.

The passenger side window is most likely a bad window lift motor.

Re: If you know anything about luminas, please help me

Well, i figured out the window problem, the wires going to the switch were coming out, the over heating is still happening, goes up, and comes back down, still trying to bleed the engine. The door locks you can hear click like they are unlocking the door but they dont, so i know that they work. I took the door moldings or covers off and there are two rods that go to the lock. You can see it try to move the rod, but it doesnt. That lock and motor is all hidden up inside the door that you can't even see it. So, i know the wiring and mechanism works, but maybe it needs to be replaced because it is just old. The only thing is, is that it will lock the doors but wont unlock them.
