B20 pistons. what's best?
I am wondering which JDM pistons would be best for my all motor B20? I have built up the valvetrain to handle high compression.
Bore: 84mm Stroke: 89mm |

Re: B20 pistons. what's best?
There are no other OE honda pistons that will work, all the other B-series have a 81mm bore. And because of the material the stock b20 sleeves are made out of, you will have to resleeve the block if you're going to put aftermarket pistons in it.

Re: B20 pistons. what's best?
I heard that you can't resleeve the b20 block due to how the sleeves were cast in the block? is this true? thanks

Re: B20 pistons. what's best?
No it's not true. I don't know exactly how they do it differently from other sleeves (I'm no engine builder). But the h22a sleeves are made of the same or similar material as well, and my friend had no problem getting his sleeved.

Re: B20 pistons. what's best?
Thanks for clearing that up for me. So you think I should go high dome piston? what's a good compression ratio for the B20 block? thanks for the info much appreciated.
